The next step belongs to everyone: the Cammino enters its operational phase

On July 17, the Stalettì community met in the Council Chamber to learn more about Il Cammino del Vento, the project promoted by Stalè APS to rediscover and connect the territory through paths, landscapes, and stories. The presentation covered the project, the starting point and six stages, the work already completed, and the digital platform ilcamminodelvento.it. More importantly, it opened a practical discussion about the work still ahead. The project now enters its operational phase. The remaining GPS tracks are being recorded, walkability is being checked, and roadmap priorities are being defined. Fieldwork must gather reliable information on distances, gradients, elevation profiles, difficulty, critical points, and opportunities. Nothing will be presented as complete until it has been verified. The discussion also brought back memories of the old “vijoli” that connected Stalettì to the sea: Purpura, Lenza, Pranci, Misericordia, Galilea, and other paths used by earlier generations. These memories can give the Cammino an authentic identity by making the paths understandable through the stories of people and places. Stalè APS has begun a direct exchange with Kalabria Coast to Coast and received an invitation connected to Ciclovia dei Parchi. These steps help build the territorial network without implying endorsements or recognition that have not been formalized. The goal remains to build a recognizable project rooted in Stalettì and in the relationship between village, hills, and sea. When the weather becomes cooler, field walks across the six stages will be organized for people who want to contribute time, skills, photographs, memories, or local knowledge.
